From the Robertson/Montagu side

Drive to Montagu. Head out of Montagu on the R318, past the police station, golf club and Avalon Springs, and drive for 24.5km. At the foot of the Burgers Pass turn left onto a dirt road at the sign for VREDENSHOOGTE (also a sign for Vredendal Keisie Huisie). Follow the signs for DEW Cottage.

From the N1 Side

If you're traveling on the N1 from Cape Town, turn right at the Montagu R318 sign, after De Doorns and the Hex River Pass. After about 56km and two passes (at the bottom of the Burgers Pass, just after the small bridge) turn right onto a dirt road at the signs - VREDENSHOOGTE ( also a sign for Vredendal Keisie Huisie). Follow the signs for DEW Cottage..
